The Colonial Hills Ministry Team
In January 2009, Wayside Chapel began a relationship with the dedicated faculty and staff of the Colonial Hills Elementary School to help develop lasting educational and life transformation for the children and families of this area.
Our desire is to be a tangible support to the school and to express the love of Christ in how we serve them. We are currently developing several after school children's clubs on campus and in the surrounding apartment buildings where we can more fully share the message of love and hope found in Jesus.
There are many ways that you can get involved right now, such as:
- Volunteer to help at one of the after school Bible Clubs
- Teacher appreciation
- Work projects
- Prayer
- Mentoring

Paper Drive - Igniting Children’s Hearts was a Great Susscess!
Wayside children are being challenged to become world changers in our community by learning about and serving the Colonial Hills Elementary School. Our aim has been to help our students cultivate compassion for the school through faithful prayers and a giving project. Throughout the month of March tt year, the children were equipped with a prayer tool and worked hard to complete a paper drive project.
The giving hearts of the Wayside children for others shined through as they saved money, developed creative work projects, and raised funds through a viaritey of means to purchase paper and support the students. On April 5th, our children celebrated a gift for the school of over 350,000 sheets of paper (700 reams) and prayed for the faculty and students. The prinicpal of the school remarked that she had to hold back her tears of gratitude as she received this special gift. Great job children!
