Hand-in-Hand ministry partners serve as greeters at Wayside Chapel for all who enter the doors of this church. This is where the initial personal touch is made with a warm smile, a firm handshake, and a friendly greeting.
Be sure to look for our friendly greeters on Sunday mornings! You'll recognize them by the "host" nametag they wear. If you have any questions, or need help finding a class, don't hesitate to ask!

Hand-in-Hand ministry partners serve at strategic points on the church campus for the purpose of helping to create a welcome and embracing atmosphere at Wayside Chapel. They often serve as the first point of contact for people visiting Wayside, and their warmth contributes to the overall impression created in the Wayside Chapel experience. This ministry can be characterized as being up front and personal. It is personalized face-to-face contact with people that makes a difference.
Their service goes beyond merely that of opening doors. Studies have shown that churches with effective greeter ministries experience a higher rate of people truly becoming involved in the ministries of the church. An effective greeter ministry helps to convey that Wayside is a church with open arms, ready to welcome all who are seeking a new life in Christ.
