Parking Ministry
Between-the-Lines ministry partners serve as the initial point of contact for hospitality at Wayside Chapel. They are easily identifiable in the parking lot areas wearing reflective safety vests. The role of these ministry partners goes far beyond that of merely directing traffic. The manner in which they provide this service is the first of many elements contributing to the overall Wayside Chapel impression. It all begins here.
As a Between-the-Lines ministry partner, your role is to demonstrate hospitality in serving as a parking lot greeter by directing vehicles and assisting people. This involves keeping a watchful eye for pedestrians and open parking spaces. It also involves communicating when the parking lot is full and directing traffic to supplementary parking areas.
Between-the-Lines ministry partners show hospitality to visitors who utilize the designated visitor parking spaces. This involves welcoming and providing visitors with helpful information in order to assist them. The ministry partners also assist with those utilizing the designated disability parking spaces and helping with any special needs. This requires being intentional about the manner in which people are handled.
Between-the-Lines ministry partners provide assistance in times of inclement weather and for those who have any particular needs. They work alongside police officers who have been contracted by Wayside Chapel. The well-being and safety of others is of primary importance.
Between-the-Lines ministry partners fulfill the all-important service of helping to create the first impression here at Wayside Chapel.
